The Combilift company was founded by two engineers, Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. Between them, they had over four decades of engineering experience when they founded the company during 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In only more than a decade, Combilift became a leader within the long handling market all over the world, providing machinery to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors which have assisted expand distribution into many markets all over the world and using their extensive knowledge and experience, McVicar and Moffett have created machinery which are in high demand and had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009.

C-Series Combilifts are available in an assortment of mast options. Lift heights as much as nine meters and lift capacities as much as 25,000 kilograms are available. Engines are available in diesel, battery or electric and gas or LPG and the C-Series Combilifts can operate within guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
Combilift Straddle Carriers provide the ability to carry heavy, oversized cargo like fully loaded containers which weigh up to 35 tons. These loads could be transported all over a work site or facility and the Combilift Straddle Carrier could raise fully loaded containers where required, whether it be from the ground to the trailer, from trailer to trailer or from the trailer to the ground. These equipment are an efficient, cost effective solution for many haulage, shipping, and distribution businesses, even those kinds with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series is much different from other side-loaders because of its ability to drive in four directions. This multi-directional steering is available with the cab on the left or on the right. This hydrostatic, all-wheel drive lift truck could benefit businesses in numerous ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have narrower aisles. It also enables the capability to block or bilk stack by driving forward. This extremely manoeuvrable truck is often found to be a better alternative compared to many conventional sit-down sideloaders because of the various additional capabilities and features.
