Dangers of Type-G lift trucks
The lift truck is essential for performing warehouse tasks. These extremely capable machines lift and transport loads of huge size from one location to another. Lift trucks have a lot of variations. The main variation is the way in which various units are fueled. "LP" lift trucks are the type that is most common. They utilize liquid propane. Type "E" lift trucks operate on electricity and have big rechargeable batteries. Type "D" lift trucks use diesel and type "G" utilize gasoline. While all forklifts, like any piece of heavy machine, could pose a danger, the type of forklifts that are powered by gasoline carry the most risks.

Fire
Forklifts labelled type G could present a fire hazard. Gas lift trucks are not made with the same rigorous standards. Gas leaks are the biggest cause of fire due mainly to gas leaks and also escaped gas fumes. This can result from mishaps and from driving on extremely rough terrain or normal wear. These circumstances pose a risk and can cause fire. Thus, a standard Type G lift truck must never be used in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed not acceptable. Like for example, these types of forklifts must not be utilized around hazardous or explosive chemicals.

Explosion
Gas lift trucks also pose a risk of explosion, as do diesel and liquid propane based forklifts. A kind of forklift which operate on gasoline could explode as a result of a serious accident in circumstances where a gasoline leak and an ignition source are both present. An explosion could occur when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Type G forklifts pose a serious inhalation hazard because of poisonous fumes. Gasoline fumes can be deadly in high concentrations. Fumes can result from gasoline leaks or from the exhaust itself. Therefore, a Type G forklift is really not suggested for any environment that is poorly ventilated. The exhaust will present a serious danger in enclosed spaces. This type of forklift should be utilized carefully when operated near individuals.
