CareLift Equipment has been designing and building quality rough terrain forklifts since 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help their customers reach their goals since they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Normally, these units are hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the great choice for tasks that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment could rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. Since the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile machine. These units are available in propane, gas or diesel configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
The articulated boom lifts are used for tasks that need to reach up and over obstacles in order to gain access. These specialized lifts are utilized for jobs which are not easily completed by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work site.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Proper training is necessary prior to utilizing boom lifts so as to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks that used to need many more man hours to be done in a much shorter time period. These machinery have greatly increased production and have changed the material handling industry.
